ECNM

Page history last edited by Anonymous 1 yr ago

Just a quick bit of a foreword- I'm ECNM (Eternally Changing Name Man -- hence why I shorten it), and I'm new to Fraxy. Thanks to Drunken Goomba's awesome tutorials and me peeking at the design concepts of bosses from here, I picked up on Fraxy design pretty quickly, so thanks everyone. Anyway, these are my creations, most of which are "Gun Armors." The name originated in an ill-fated game concept I had long ago. Despite its lack of success, I still loved the mecha designs I created, even if they weren't that original. With Fraxy, I can recreate them and see them in action, so I'm quite happy with it.

D-GA014-Cutlass-ADV

The Cutlass is the most basic support unit of the Delvana Corporation.

This particular unit was Delvana's entry way into weapons development; their previous models were generic and unispired. Although it is about as large as a standard drone, it is much more durable and is equipped with a supplementary shield. Previous iterations of the Cutlass have had lackluster melee combat performance, which lowered the appeal of the Cutlass's usage in any even moderately important operations. Thanks to Delvana's R&D team, unmanned Cutlass models have increased intelligence, being able to last longer than before in combat.

D-GA014-Cutlass-Custom

The Cutlass has had one major failing point since it's creation: the energy blade -- despite using up large amounts of energy -- is entirely useless. This particular custom variant is alledgedly based upon information leaked from Delvana's R&D department. By overclocking the Cutlass's core, the blade length is increased, and the core generates a mild gravitational field. Unfortunately, this results in the core slowly collapsing in on itself, weakening its overall defensive capabilities, and eventually destroying the entire unit. Needless to say, this variant has only been manually piloted once.

Boss

Delvana Transportation Craft: Vandalis

As we are sure you know, the Vandalis is Delvana Corporation's flagship "transport" craft. Ever since they became a major power in our particular corner of the galaxy, they have gained a less than perfect reputation. Their insistance on the possession of crafts such as the Vandalis is not helping their case. But we digress.

The Vandalis has been relaunched after a prolonged period of inactivity, and according to intel, it has been fitted with even more weapons than before. In addition to the remodel, the Vandalis is being escorted by a D-GA014-Cutlass-ADV and a small laser drone.

Normally, this would be no major ordeal. However, the Vandalis has had the audacity to destroy one of our patrols without warning. We have reason to believe, as such, that the Vandalis is or is in the near future transporting rather precious cargo. When it obtains this cargo is of no matter. Destroy it, and if possible, eliminate the escorting units as well.

That is all.

This was my first creation in Fraxy, inspired by Areo's 'Moth series. After creating the Gun Armors, I figured this could be used as a test for how well a Gun Armor can assist a boss. Whether or not I was successful in creating a more substaintial support for a boss is up to you to decide.

D-GAx02-HEAVEN SABER

The Vandalis was indeed mobilized for the sake of precious cargo. However, only in the capacity of a distraction, albeit an excessively expensive one. The actual cargo was transported via an unescorted, unmarked, unarmed transportation craft. One of our patrols just so happened to intercept it during a routine check. We managed to salvage some battle data from the remains of the lead ship. We hope the simulation we've put together is helpful to you.
