Hello, This is Icebrigade with some tips on how to make Custom ships for fraxy.

First off I'd like to say this.

what alot of people might do when they want a custom ship is just draw something,  then stick it into paint... but its not that simple.

here are some things you should be aware of:

1.) The file can ONLY be a bitmap (bmp) image.  what I recomend is the "24-bit Bmp" because it gives you the most color.

2.) Ship sprites can only be about 33W and 36H.  So make sure it isn't bigger because part of the ship could get cut off!!!

3.) Your ship sprite may be bigger or smaller then the actual ship size (default size) so if its smaller it will be harder to dodge bullets because you don't know where the ship is!!!

4.) Finally: your ship can be ANYTHING you want it to be. no matter what anyone says!

so how can I make a ship I want if I don't know how to draw it?!?!?

there is a simple awnser!!  see there is a button on most windows pc's that says "print screen"  that copys the screens image into your copy and paste bar.  one way to make a ship is:  make a simple drone in the fraxy editor,  then print the screen.  after that go into paint, press paste (this will make your screen that you "printed" apear).  use the select tool (at the very top: the little square) select the drone then paste it at the top left corner.  edit out the rest and your almost done!!!

next use the fill tool to make the bg that is blueish to black,  save it, then try it out!! (make sure you save it to a different name then player_01,  then change the name of the original player ship,  and change the name of your custom ship to player_01)  if it is un-even go back into paint and use the sellect tool again to move it.
