ANNOUNCEMENT:
The fraxy compendium has moved to a more stable, secure, and customizable location. There are numerous reasons for this, including the fact that this wiki has no Sysops or Local Mods, meaning it is impossible to maintain fully, and if targeted, is about 100x easier to completely wipe clean.
Fraxy Compendium Redux Main Page - The new Compendium.
Fraxy Compendium Uploader - Upload your bosses/drones/trys/pics and pretty much anything else (see above)
Fraxy Compendium Forum - The new Fraxy forum.
Fraxy Compendium Community - List of all members of the Community.
Sorry if this is any huge inconvience, but it's for the good of the community. Thanks again for helping.
Small announcement.
The new wiki is fully up and running, and is now very much populated, with daily activity both on the wiki and forum, so don't hesitate to register yourself and become a part of the official community. For any questions or support regarding operations and functions of the new wiki, please contact us direct, and we'll be pleased to help. Nightkev and Arbe are the creators of the wiki, and you can contact any of the mods/sysops:
You can email Screature at thorpem4@hotmail.co.uk
You can email Bukkarooo at bukkarooo@gmail.com
You can email CrossTheRubicon also at babyloniaxtra@yahoo.com
Kironide is also a sysop on the wiki.
| Here at The Fraxy Compendium, it is our hope to collaberatively collect a BEVY of FRAXY bosses, mini-bosses, drones, and "try" files, in the interest of cultivating something of a community and inspiring users of this fine game to ever greater heights of creativity. |

Started a while back by Epicfraxy, these forums can/will make an excellent hub for interplayer communication: Discuss new boss ideas, get tips on boss balance and construction, or just chillax.
In other, less recent news: The wiki is huge, and our files are backed up, and protected from deletion by password restriction. Enjoy!
NOTE: We are moving to yet another board known as "board2", the rival of sorts of GenericBoard. The reason can be found at the GenericBoard site.
This is the new Fraxy IRC located on board2's server. Come and chat with us!

Oh wow. We gotta stop trying to all edit at the same time lol.
Oh well.

If you have a large number of Bosses to add at once, use the "Files" button at the top of the page, which has an option to allow simultaneous upload of 4 at a time.
Then link the files on the appropriate pages.

Hey guys. Kinda got bored tonight, so I figured I'd toss in a little tutorial for making "new" weapons for any of your ships. Hope you all find it handy!

Agh that reminds me, I gotta get around to putting some work into the Editor tutorial page. I... think I'll do it nOW!

Maybe it's just me, but I noticed that Bit Cores do not cooperate well with other cores. Usually when they disconnect, they go off in some random direction and sometimes goes out of bounds. Is there a way to prevent this and keep them close to the main core?
Anonymous said
at 8:51 am on Nov 23, 2007
I've found that Bit Cores tend to circle the player, and kinda spiral outward, just like Big Core 2: The solution in both cases for me was to put intermittent "forward" firing thrusters, to keep them in a tighter circle.
Even with this though, I've found that they work better with stationary or slow moving allies.
You COULD do something like "phased out" panel-aim-player connected to a "bit". Basically a turret on an invisible arm, so it LOOKS like a ship following, but is actually just a gun-arm like those on the tetran, or seer.

Just a little suggestion for a next project. For those who don't know how to make Try files, can anyone who's familiar with them help teach us humble souls?
Anonymous said

How can an explanation of such be done? I've done some messing around with Try files... at least, I try. It won't show up in the game interface... ._.
Also, when I try to upload .FED file, it won't let me upload and tags me for some "spam filter," for now, I will use my webspace.

Anonymous said
at 7:00 pm on Jan 31, 2008
I just added a little bit on it in the how to contribute. I also table'd your stuff... I'm almost done tabling the whole boss page... I'm lazy now.
In the future, you can just right-click and "Add row" to your table.

CrossTheRubicon, thanks for the tabling. I almost finished, but I ran out of steam.
I wouldn't have bothered, but playing around with it, I noticed how much easier it makes it to read the longer descriptions, so I got excited.

No prob. If I get more time I'll do the fighter ones. I found out that the Try commands and what they do are included so I'm trying to find a way to explain the process of making one.

Jeremy P, I am VERY impressed with Boxer because of the opening and closing arms/doors. If you don't mind, could you do a tutorial explaining how you set that up?
Anonymous said
at 6:10 am on Feb 12, 2008
I've been thinking, this page could use a "boss design, tips and tricks page", and the abuse of joint-turn 30/60 would be a good opening article.
I need to find a couple spare hours, but yeah.
The short version: Move Act 6 goes 30 degrees clockwise, 9 goes anti-clockwise. After 1000 frames, they both revert to original position. 3 joints stacked will rotate the final joint back and forth over a 90 degree arc.
The doors actually have 2 sets of 3 joints, set on different delays, and opposite move actions, so that they can open up and let you out before the arms retract.
Depending on how you wanna do a transformation, you can also incorporate Panel-aim-init angle, using moveact 13 it doesn't have any "swimmyness" or delay in maintaining it's aim-angle.
But I should do a proper article, because it would be much easier with pictures.
Anonymous said
at 9:35 am on Feb 16, 2008
My axis creations carbaxis, nitraxis, and oxyaxis all use joint 30-60 pieces to transform. The only move actions I use are 6 and 9 and they're wonderful. Also some of Areo's fraxy creations transform as well.
Anonymous said
at 11:06 pm on Feb 17, 2008
Ditto. Only ever use moves 6 and 9, anything else doesn't leave it in one 'form' long enough. Yttrioth, Zirconioth, and Niobioth all use them, though Niobioth the most extensively. The pieces add alot, making the bosses more in depth and have a bigger strategy to fighting them.

I was trying to find a way to get a horizontal movement so that I can improve Heaven's Gate and make Big Core Mk. 3. Unfortunately, I haven't found a good solution. I tried combining a 30/60 with an Init-Aim Panel but that didn't work effectively enough. Thanks for your inspirations and suggestions!
Anonymous said
at 4:26 pm on Feb 29, 2008
hmm, maybe a tips and tricks page would be an Idea, Im not very efficient at transforming, but I've been experimenting with rolling panels, look at gravcore in drones section, its got a few objects spinning round in an oval shaped revolution. only problem is that the timings for the panels go off in changing ranks, I'll see if I can't sort it out, but my head starts spinning thinkin bout the math

Anonymous said

Oh man... The new version of Fraxy is finally out and the wait was well worth it. Not only were new parts added but new editing features were created. More specifically Part Event editing. I can only imagine the possibilities...
Anonymous said

Anonymous said
at 2:54 am on Mar 26, 2008
Wow, heh I was pondering a while back on how cool it would be if the Fraxy Editor had triggers like StarCraft did, and now look. Those move joints just saved me a huge hassle with 30-60 joints as well on my newest project.
Anonymous said
at 1:57 pm on Mar 26, 2008
You should give Reactor 0 an update with these events, methinks.
Anonymous said
at 4:51 pm on Mar 26, 2008
Hey Cross, or anyone else playing with the events...say I have a Parts-Regeneration that when destroyed I want to make about 40 different 30-60 joints turn on. All of which are under the same parent part. How would I go about doing that?
Anonymous said
at 5:07 pm on Mar 26, 2008
Hmmm.... one possible way I believe is to have a chain effect with them all. For example:
1) Part-Regen Trigger - Destroy. Effects - Make 4 Joints active.
2) For those now active Joints, Trigger - Movement(ON), Effects - Make 4 Joints active.
3) Repeat step 2 until finished.
That should work in theory.
Anonymous said
at 5:22 pm on Mar 26, 2008
Ah. Didn't even think of that. Good one.
Also, have you taken a look at the move joints? I'm sure one of the Acts. is to move and not move back...
Anonymous said
at 5:37 pm on Mar 26, 2008
Yes, Move Act 1 is to move forward and never moves back. Move Act 2 moves back to the origin spot, but since that is rare it usually does nothing and I think it's of limited use. The one thing I'm curious about is why the Remote Blast glitch happened... I suspect it has to do with the event triggers but I haven't been able to replicate it on anything else except the test.
Anonymous said
at 5:56 pm on Mar 26, 2008
Remote Blast glitch? I have yet to even try the remote blast, care to elaborate?
Anonymous said
at 7:22 pm on Mar 26, 2008
The glitch goes like this: The Remote Blast has no events connected to it and is active and the frames are counting yet will only do anything until the Destroy event I set is triggered. I have yet to replicate this in anything else except my tester. If this glitch exists after through testing, it may affect other parts later.
Anonymous said
at 8:07 pm on Mar 26, 2008
Grr. Things aren't working. Basically I have a Moth. Moth A has a weak spot on the back that when destroyed, detaches Moth B from underneath it. Moth B has a weakspot on each wing that when destroyed, should destroy a panel on the respective wing on Moth A. That part isn't working, and I can't figure out why.
Anonymous said
at 5:21 pm on Mar 27, 2008
I can't seem to get the new parts to work. It's either because the parts are glitched, or I downloaded the wrong thing.
Anonymous said
at 9:19 pm on Mar 27, 2008
A new update is available that addresses some glitches found with the new stuff. For example, the Remote Blast glitch is gone.

lol i like this new events bit, I can sort my r9 with a nice little force bit AI muahahahahahahahhahahahahah!!
no seriously this is gonna take time to master, event based timed animations, i've got a new prototype mecha sytlee boss, will post when i figure out why the events won't loop in game but do in editor -sigh-
Anonymous said
at 9:49 pm on Mar 28, 2008
Grr. The one thing I was hoping would come with these events, having unlinked bosses' events connect to eachother, apparently still isn't doable. Sigh.
Anonymous said
at 1:41 am on Mar 29, 2008
you could emulate connections between events using variables to trigger each other and you get 4 to play with, I still don' see why the editor loops events but in-game it does not it's wrecking my head
Anonymous said
at 2:06 am on Mar 29, 2008
Be sure you click the check box at the bottom. This will prevent the event from being deleted once it is executed. Hopefully that helps.
Anonymous said
at 2:23 am on Mar 29, 2008
nope, and it resets them every time i reopen the editor so i hav to check em each time, ive tryed lookind at the fed fie and its the second iteger value after the part ID, they are saved as looping but reopening resets em again and it doesn't make a difference ingame, im getting confused
Anonymous said
at 2:32 am on Mar 29, 2008
im gonna upload the file see if its a processer bug or sumthing if ppl can test it to see if its my laptop or not that would be helpful, uploading now, its called hyperarmor
if its not animating the arms each time it fires then the events still arent looping open it in editor and the events are on parts ID24:launcher and ID73:laser m(event trigger) just re-tick the deletion bit on all the events and it'll do the animations
Anonymous said

plus ne one whos reading ive just been testing and there is a limit to the amount of events ne thing after the 9th event seems to be ignored, and it goes by order listed in the fed file not order of when they happen :(
is this the same for every one?
Anonymous said
at 4:41 pm on Apr 2, 2008
Hm. Surely there's a way to set events so that when part X is destroyed, move join Y does Act 1 (moving), and then when part Z is destroyed, move join Y does Act 3 (moving back to origin), right?
Anonymous said

Anonymous said
at 5:10 pm on Apr 2, 2008
lol thats the one, check out the two bosses ive done areo, change move action i used in hyperion armor, and condition att frame, injection core changes att frame and play/stop movment, with move frame as condition, i don't like this limit to the events otherwise i wouldnt have released injcore yet it would have lots more features i was using variables and math for doors and spin cycles but had to simplify it all -sigh, i hope that gets lifted soon.
Anonymous said
at 5:14 pm on Apr 2, 2008
plus make sure u have 200080330a and the 200080330b editor patched onto it, it adds a bug with the hide/shadow/normal bit but the events are alot less buggy.

And no, I haven't looked at your new ones yet, I will.
Anonymous said
at 5:39 pm on Apr 2, 2008
they are only simple really just minor examples of what events can do but im working on a rudimentery ai for my R-9a so the force pod will attack seperatly to the ship like in r-type final but will re-attach when the r-9 is threatened. its all move joints and panel aims, triggered in relation to player disance, its coming along well but with only 9 event 'slots' its getting tedious trying to fit all the actions i want to hapen in, luckily you can trigger an event three times as the conditions use an or gate not an and, an option to choose or/and would help.

Cross asks: "Does anyone know where I can find a better sprite editor than MS Paint?" Google "The Gimp", look for a windows binary of it. It's like "photoshop lite", but FREE, and also, LEGALLY FREE. I used it to do the pallette shifting on the sprites in my sprite pack.

Areo asks: "Oi, JP, what happens when we run out of file space?" First I go through the file archives and convert certain 3 to 400k BMP files into jpgs. If that fails to free up enough space, I buy a subscription to PBwiki for a year. This is something I've been thinking about doing ANYway, and it's becoming abundantly clear that it will be worth it: I dissapear for 45 days, and you guys post 4 megabytes of new material.

There's another Fraxy wiki? Whar?
Anonymous said
at 1:06 am on Apr 6, 2008
There is another Fraxy Wiki made shortly after it came out. However, it is not as active as this one is. No offense to those that are still active there. There are some nice creations in there, Jeryn's being an example. I believe that it was created from some of message boards that posted Fraxy creations. Links are on the site called Bossrush The World.
Anonymous said
at 2:58 am on Apr 6, 2008
Bossrush the World is what originally inspired me to make this wiki: When I tried to "get involved" with it, I tried to find the password: Which was apparently tucked away in an archived thread on 'Something Awful', that you can't get into without signing up. I was like "Huh, I bet that little hurdle is slowing down the activity here" and sho'nuff, it sat idle for months. Finally I was like "HELL" and found out that PBwiki is REALLY HAWT, even for free.

my outpost uses that type of action to get rid of panels on the outpost, and the event trigger is on two fighters, are u having an event problem?
Anonymous said
at 5:50 am on Apr 8, 2008
I have Condition: Destroyed, Action: Destroy Bit Core (there's 3 of them for the 3 bit cores). The bit cores are not attached to the cancer core getting blown up, and that seems to make events not work for me.
Anonymous said
at 10:41 am on Apr 8, 2008
hmm try opening the .fed file cutting the desired event and pasting it to the bottom, i've found that some times if a difinitive event is in order before others that would happen first fraxy(and editor) seems to stop the event chain there. another way round could be to make a copy of the cancer core and hide it so that the destroy event is not at the very top of the PartID tree, i had a similar problem with hyperion guard but rearanging the events so that every event happens in listed order (exluding loops keep loops in order of what happens in the loop, so that destroy and stops are at the end, and starts at the start etc.), seems to sort it thats what took the most time for me building H.guard. When I kept adding events i'd hav to re order them (in editor), save, open fed file, check order, close editor and open it again to reset the events list. sucks i know it'll be fixed soon enough -sigh

Question - Does anyone know what each Move Act of Bit Cores do? I'm having issues with them running away and suiciding off the map often either right after being detatched from the main boss or after the player dies.
Anonymous said
at 7:07 pm on Apr 13, 2008
There are a lot of Move Acts for the Bit Core and Cancer Core. Some of the earlier topics talk about this. I found that the main problem comes with the indirect movements in the various moves (Move Act 3 I believe has one) which causes them to move away. I'm working on a solution using events and an additional part to channel the events (since you cannot change Move Acts on the same part).
Anonymous said
at 8:19 pm on Apr 13, 2008
That would be nice. My idea is for it to either just stay near you or stay near the main boss...or at least not wander off.

I've created two new Bit Cores, located in the Drone section. Through event manipulation, the Bits will not float out of range like they normally would. They should do for now until more direct manipulation is done or a better series of events are executed.

The only things that can't be deleted are "old versions of pages" and "Files". Thus, if disaster strikes, we can always revert, and we won't lose stuff permanently. All users still have FULL upload, and page editing ability; and it's GOTTA stay that way. Any other path is a path to stagnation. Btw... sorry I'm slow with the request, it's been a busy couple a weeks.

For my own videos, I set up my digital camera up between me and my computer screen... lulz. It's uncomfortable, but it works. However, the recording from my camera desyncs from the sound, which you may have noticed in my videos.

Hypercam. . .
Anonymous said
at 10:31 pm on Apr 27, 2008
Well I was hoping for one that caused little-to-no lag... maybe you guys can tell me what settings you use, that could be one of the problems.
Anonymous said
at 3:46 pm on Apr 28, 2008
ok for cam studio, i use 80% compression quality, temperal quality ratio at 0.75, framerate to max, uncheck auto adjust, and this will get pretty decent frame rate though if its still not good enough then put recording thread priority to above normal, though doing this will decrease windows stability DONT DO IT VIA TASK MANAGER as u will only increase the priority of camstudio's gui, plus fraxy will run slower unless u have an amaisingly hot pc
Anonymous said
at 3:51 pm on Apr 28, 2008
oh yes to decrease file size use windows media player and use it to code it into a 316Kb/sec dsl speed vid, therefore decreasing file size but keeping the majority of quality/framerate ratio, check my youtube vid for belthasar thats the best i've got camstudio to run (those settings are above), then check my outpost vid, and thats good framerate for mega bullets but reaaaaaly bad quality. play around tho u might find settings to better suit your system

Could someone shrink the banner by about 30-40 pixels on the right? As it is now on my screen, the sidebar is just wide enough to force it under, causing a big empty space to the left of the sidebar.
I'd be curious to see someone play against my creations and record it to see how they go about doing so...

Maybe we could add an index at the top? A little table with each of the contributors' names and a quick link to their table, using anchors n such. Shouldn't be too hard, right? It could even have a manual ship count with each name. Of course, the drones page would need one too for consistancy.

Ack! I tried putting in some anchor tags, and somehow the wiki magically ate the entire table. I'm so sorry... If I knew how to undo it I would. At least the images and files are still uploaded. Maybe if we're lucky the original text will show up in the auto update things... Again, really sorry.

I'm in progress now, I currently have the bosses page reverted, but with the recent additions added to it. (Like Ouranos). Quick question - Am I the only one who can revert now? If so, damn, I'll have to look at the permissions options and see if I can divvy it up better.
JPteeto said
at 3:56 am on Apr 30, 2008
One more thing: Thoughts on the "User index" sort method? Just tossed it together, is this better, or worse, than the "giant takes forever to load up and be usable" boss page? I've merged our drones into the "user pages". It seemed the easiest way to make our categories "smaller" and more usable: Pretty much inspired by what Peardian tried to do.
JPteeto said
at 3:56 am on Apr 30, 2008

Apparently, yes JPteeto. You are the only one who can revert pages. When I tried to, all I could do is compare versions. Also, WONDERFUL job at the indexing! If we add creations will the index update with it or will someone have to update the index to match?
Anonymous said
at 2:16 pm on Apr 30, 2008
The Index is a great idea, though we should definitely keep the universal Bosses page as well.
Anonymous said
at 2:59 pm on Apr 30, 2008
for those new to the site being able to see every boss would be a must, i mean it would get frustrating looking through by author if u don't know who they are, and could some one edit my description in the index so id doesn't soud like i did it?

Anonymous said
at 3:25 am on May 1, 2008
lol bad luck, try giving more priority to programs and/or giving it more priority temporarily via task man, coz some times its just a process manigirial problem, close all othe programs etc. if that don't work try hypercam, but i hav no experience with it so i cant tell u how to use it
JPteeto said
at 6:38 pm on May 1, 2008
The index would need to be updated manually, unfortunately, although it WOULD be a simple matter of copy/paste to do so. I was initially inclined to phase out the "bosses" page, but both Sharky and Peardian voiced the concern that the chance to see everything in one spot could be beneficial, especially for new users. So I'm thinking, that at least for now, keeping it would be preferable. I should figure out a way to make it more usable...
Anonymous said
at 10:23 pm on May 1, 2008
Is there a way to directly link the Index to the Bosses page and have it go directly to that author's group?
Anonymous said

By the way guys, when you make Fraxy videos, make sure that regardless of what you recorded it as, have it playback at 30FPS (what Fraxy is "supposed" to play at); it should make the videos look much smoother even if you recorded at 15FPS.
Anonymous said
at 1:31 am on May 11, 2008
nah i record at 200 frames per second coz my memory is good enough for it, but your fraxy runs at 30fps? half the time my fraxy is running at apx 60 depending obviously whats on the screen

in reply to zaximillian, its sort of impossible to say what weapons are deadlyest, as used in the right manner they can be useless or overkill, take a power ball, hmm extremly usless in my opoinion, too slow to get any danger from them straight up, add low manuverability (IE my injection core, stupidly overkill), or put them on a moving rail (IE Mechilor) and u get a deadly weapon rivaling lasers.
Anonymous said
at 11:28 am on May 21, 2008
then there is lasers, can be hectic if u can't dodge em right, but give them a timer, and some supporting weaponry (IE Inferno beam on casper and Mk.II on Mechilor) and you have a less deadly weapon more flashy and wider area of effect weapon. so to conclude, it all depends on what kind of feel you want your boss to achieve rather than how deadly a certain weapon is

Just a few things that came to my attention... 1.) While slightly amusing to watch, I feel I must save some people pointless labor by informing them that & is the code for & and > is the code for >, and changing out the code for the character itself is entirely pointless and has no bearing on the appearance of the page. 2.) Since this is an informational wiki, can we please try to use proper English and such, at least in boss descriptions? I know this really doesn't apply to most members, as many of you have great grammar, but it's somewhat of a turnoff to see words like "ur" and "some1" and other such lazy shortcuts.
Anonymous said

Haha, whoops, didn't think codes like that would actually work in comments. What I meant was that "& a m p ;" (without spaces) is the code for &, and "& g t ;" is the code for >. I guess that little mistake just proves my point. Heh.

Wow! Just downloaded some drivers to use Playstation3 control-pad on my laptop. Along with a program called ControlMK, I'm playing Fraxy using the control-pad. The precision is awesome. Left joystick for full analogue directional movement (and even analogue ship speed!), shoulder buttons to fire/weapon-change/boost (with variable boost strength using L2 or R2 button) and right joystick to move pointer to aim. You should try it! It's a very comfortable way of playing, and being analogue feels like you have more control. Just my thoughts :-)

I've searched and searched with no result. Does anyone know of a program, or would be willing to create a program, that will restrict mouse movement to the active window. Python: No compiling code, so you can write it and run it instantly; coding a hello world program only requires "print 'Hello World!'" instead of a 25 line program that prints two words. It's definitely better than C++ unless you need a program to run super-extreme fast, there it's beat by compiled languages' run speed, but the difference is completely unnoticable unless your program is very, very calculation-heavy.

Being sad enough to take time away from my drinking in the sun to say hi to you guys, and there´s a new version of fraxy dangling in front of me with no way of playing it!! :-( *waits patiently til next thurs*. Btw I´d be a very enthusiastic judge on the theme-of-the-month pages. Will have to wait a week before I can do any judging though teehee. Anyway, my sunburn doesn´t hurt any more, which means I´ve been indoors too long. Tatta!

The biggest change that wasn't an interface tweak is a new set of actions for the Spark Effector, which basically cause smaller sparks. And sadly I have been lacking inspiration to make anything, as I have been preoccupied with the release of the beta of Super Mario War 1.8. Maybe playing some random ships will get me back in the mood...

After reading and playing with your bosses, try incorporating sonic guns as a main weapon to build upon. Osiris, which I forget the creator, uses the sonic cannons well. Try something like that.
Anonymous said
at 8:03 am on Jun 9, 2008
Thanks. I knew I was gonna be using sonic guns on him, his name being a wind god from Lord knows what religion haha. I just don't know how to lay him out and work in the whole theme of my series. That's where my "creative block" lies.

Well, I finally found inspiration to start making a boss again, but I've hit a major snag. I'm trying to have it so at a certain point, multiple pieces are destroyed, leaving only a few left. But, for whatever reason, even if I use delete (phase-out) thing to get rid of the pieces I want gone, the rest of the pieces that aren't the core spontaneously explode as if they've taken damage. I can get away with removing a few, but any more than that and the entire thing (except the core) explodes. The only explanation I can think of is the parts' vanishing is hurting the pieces enough to destroy them, but it doesn't make sense given that all the pieces being destroyed have -1 durability. I've tried having a backup copy of invisible pieces, but even those are destroyed somehow. I could either end the boss where the excess explodes (which I'd prefer not to) or find away around it.
Anonymous said
at 1:48 am on Jun 11, 2008
Well, I must be doing something wrong, because I can't even get a simple "when Movement(ON) destroy self" script to go. Maybe I'm just tired. This is the second day in a row I've stayed up past 2:30 am working on this thing. I need sleep...
Anonymous said
at 5:57 am on Jun 11, 2008
Well, they're gonna of course destroy they're child parts with destroy self. You can't even get an even string where they all hide eachother, or "when Movement (ON) draw flag hide self?
Anonymous said
at 6:20 am on Jun 11, 2008
or use suicide instead of destroy or delete
Anonymous said
at 8:44 am on Jun 11, 2008
You could use some bricks, too, if you can manage. They soak up cascading damages, right?
Anonymous said
at 12:17 pm on Jun 11, 2008
I would connect all the pieces you want destroyed to a separate core, with all the pieces you dont want destroyed on the main core. Should help to keep htem from being destroyed.
Anonymous said
at 2:27 pm on Jun 11, 2008
I've already tried those. The parts aren't connected to each other, they're all different children of the core. Suicide, Destroy, and Delete(phase-in) all cause the unwanted destruction. I even tried having a separate core. The parts ended up destroying the second core completely along with all its parts. Unless the editor was just being buggy, even making the parts disappear via Hide flag caused the whole core to explode. I'll try again today and see if I have any luck.
Anonymous said
at 2:59 pm on Jun 11, 2008
If that keeps happening, with the secondary core, you could choose to make the parts disappear instead of destruct.
Anonymous said
at 4:37 pm on Jun 11, 2008
Okay, something is definately weird, because even shadowing too many parts makes the whole thing explode for no reason. Whyyyyyyyyy...!?
Anonymous said
at 4:42 pm on Jun 11, 2008
And yet curiously, if I destroy one, suicide one, delete one, and shadow one, it doesn't all explode. I wish I knew why.
Anonymous said

Anonymous said
at 6:09 pm on Jun 11, 2008
are any cores at -1 health? this makes them selfdestruct when active
Anonymous said
at 7:14 pm on Jun 11, 2008
Actually, I found the reason. As you know, if shadow cores have no pieces that are destroyable on them, they selfdestruct since there's no way for them to die anyway. Though a great majority of the ship's shell is indestructible, a few shadow/hidden pieces probably had positive health, and the part I wanted to keep alive was all indestructible, so it was selfdestructing. I'm not really sure why the core itself didn't die. So, I've fixed it now. Hooray!

I just made a semi-obvious observation. As I was picking up power-ups, I noticed that my energy levels weren't going down as much as before even at max power. I know that it was like that in every version but the energy drain here seemed to be much, much less than before. What I'm getting at here is that I think they made the power-ups more effective.

if you have an image, click the attach image button, use browse and uppload to upload your pic. Then click attach file, use browse and upload on the boss's .fed file, and put it in the second line. line three you would put By Irys, or just irys, if you want, then the final coulumn is for a description

Looks like a new version is out! They added some interesting stuff to the editor. Along with three new effectors, you can also advance the editor a set number of frames and control how the alpha effects are rendered. There's also a Wait button to max out your refresh rate. On a side note, turning off the last two I mentioned makes Aurora Bit really pretty to watch.
Anonymous said
at 11:03 am on Jun 17, 2008
new effectors are Aura, explosive, and flash-red. I'm not sure how the frame advance quite works, or what the wait button does. Soon I'll probably put the new effectors into the Parts info page, unless someone else does it first
Anonymous said

The wait button slows down the frames to normal speed. But if you click off of it the frames will speed up.

Anonymous said
at 6:11 pm on Jun 17, 2008
I believe that the Fraxy creators look at this board sometimes and read what we suggest. There's too much coincidence for it to be random.
I have also gotten those E-Mails. My best guess is a minor glitch that doesn't correctly state who made the change and instead gives a default/unknown name.

Are you kidding?! The CC is amazing! Get the demo first, just to see. Full version costs £4.99, but it's worth it. I accidentally bought it twice :-S, however I don't know how to give away my second order otherwise I would (it can't be cancelled so worthless to me). Likewise, followed it since that first 36min video came out around 05

Got the free CC, and it's awesome. Little tricky to get used to at first, but awesome. Not much parts in the free version. I probably won't buy the full CC, just because it won't be of much use when Spore fully comes out. I'm pretty sure the full game has that... Anyway, my first creature is a little guy I like to call the Crabsect. You can probably piece him together from the name haha

<CrossTheRubicon> What do you mean by bullet limit? When weapon fire mysteriously disappears in the editor? <-- Not just the editor but in the game too, if you have more than so many bullets on screen at once, you can't have any more (which is the cause of the editor's no-bullets glitch, but that's because of a coding error).

Khons is relatively easy in my opinion ,until it turns and shoots the wave of homing lasers. D: Also cool looking design. Great job overall Bukkaroo.

Thanks! My hope is for people to not use shields on him, but they can do whatever they wanna do. I guess you could stay outside the circle, but that's why I have the Gravity wells and the homing lasers... and the spinning haha. I'm glad you liked him! I've started using cores for ornamental purposes, inspired by Eboshidori haha

...I'm not really sure why, but it sounds like a good idea to me. =)

Cool, just one thing, is that "the afternoon" in US or UK?
Screature said
at 2:36 am on Jul 4, 2008
And yet that's a great idea. It'd be nice to have as many members of the community in one place at one time. I'm a big fan of communities that work together, hence why I put my name down as a contest judge, why I greet new members etc. I'm trying to bring in some new people, as we only seem to have about ten truly active members, and a large number of quiet contributors. I'd like to see more collaborative activity.
bukkarooo said

I completely agree with Screach. I'll be there almost definately, We all just need to get sure of the time zones and have a definate starting time so everyone every where, with a little fiddling with said time zones, can know what time it is haha

Can someone test out charrox? I need opinions on him
CrossTheRubicon said
at 3:22 pm on Jul 5, 2008
Charrox was tedious and sneaky, but that's adds challenge. At first I thought you had to shoot the mouth, but then I found that you had to hit other things to get results. I really liked the design, especially when you destroy the wings. The poor thing must have a sore throat though with the constant flame and the laser. =)
Anonymous said

Liked the last part? But yeah, I'll improve on the "wow"
Nutman217 said
at 11:14 pm on Jul 5, 2008
Charrox? The core has way too much health. I suggest reducing core HP by quite a lot and making the core a bit easier to hit somehow. Also, I liked every little niblet of effort you put into it, though. No gaps, no rough edges, no errors in the events, nothing! Thumbs up.
Anonymous said
at 8:43 am on Jul 6, 2008
Ah, I figured those front plates would get in the way, but if you don't kill the certain parts, the core has 1million health, hence the "indestructible" part, but I'll reduce the "killable" health level.

A new version is up and more stuff is added. A new player weapon, a chargeable Blaster. Also another Game mode is available besides Normal and Extreme; it's called Fun... I wonder how much fun it really is... More is added but that's what I've noticed so far.
bukkarooo said
at 12:52 pm on Jul 6, 2008

bukkarooo said
at 1:03 pm on Jul 6, 2008
2 new effectors, Concentrate, which looks kinda like when you're charging the charge blaster but off-white, and Charge, which IS when you're charging the blaster haha. Each move action increases the size of the effect, and Charge can be blue or yellow, and slowly makes a little ball the the center. And a quick note, a level 1, fully charged charge blaster, with a direct hit, can kill block and rolling cores in 1 shot
bukkarooo said
at 1:11 pm on Jul 6, 2008
The longer you charge the charge blaster, it'll shoot further, have bigger splash damage, and will linger in the spot longer. it lingers! haha If you shoot a fully charge shot at a small ship and kill it, and another one flys over that spot soon, it will also get hurt :D Me likey the new weapon haha
bukkarooo said
at 1:17 pm on Jul 6, 2008
Fun mode gives your initial boost super speed, and your rate of fire is also super fast. With bullet, you shot an almost constant stream, like you can do with events on the enemy bullets. I really like this update haha. Next thing I hope they do is add more plates, wings, and cores.
bukkarooo said
at 1:18 pm on Jul 6, 2008
Your weapons also get super damage in fun mode.... ok enough posts for now xD
bukkarooo said
at 1:19 pm on Jul 6, 2008
last one! haha You can also make free play appear position Fixed, so it spawns above you (like in a stock event), not in a random place. That is a really nice addition. Ok, what is this, my 5th post about the update? I'll chill for right now haha

I think we should have a gathering like that every sunday, at this wiki's noon (<< look at time on new comments). Was certainly a good laugh yesterday, as a trial. We could have discussion topics :-) (although I'd be surprised if we consistently kept to the topic throughout hehe)
Screature said
at 10:09 am on Jul 7, 2008
Quick mental math shows me I'm 6 hours ahead of this wiki, which means noon is 6pm for me. If everyone does the same, we'll all know when to join the IRC on Sundays (specifically Sundays, I know it'll be on 24/7 anyway).
bukkarooo said

An open request to anyone willing to try beating Maze, rank 100, lvl1 bullets, no shields, normal mode, no deaths. You'll see why it's called Maze. It creates it's own! Getting to the middle (and finding the weak side) is really frustrating!

Nutman217 said

To help with space restraints, I've moved most of my files to the "Fraxy Compendium Expansion". I'll still be boppin' around and attending to every monthly theme! ;D
NightKev said
at 8:50 pm on Jul 8, 2008
Uhm, there aren't any space constraints. We still have over 950MB of space left on the wiki (out of a total 1GB possible).
bukkarooo said
at 9:32 pm on Jul 8, 2008
seriously, we have tons of space. Our boss page is a little slow, but we're in the process of fixing that. We can hold SO many more bosses and images and user pages and anything. My thought for the compendium expansion is that is should be kind of a Role Play thing for people who want to, eg. the roster describing us as pilots and our sectors and all that fun stuff. We can also use it for music, which there is already a little of there
CrossTheRubicon said
at 10:09 pm on Jul 8, 2008
Heh, in a way we have something like that on the User Index. We just have to make sure it doesn't get way out of hand.
NightKev said
at 10:20 pm on Jul 8, 2008
We should keep everything confined to a single wiki unless space starts becoming an ACTUAL constraint (ie: <200MB left).
bukkarooo said
at 10:23 pm on Jul 8, 2008
I agree completely
NightKev said
at 10:25 pm on Jul 8, 2008
Although by the time we get to that point, the wiki's HD will probably have been upgraded to at least 5GB, thus negating the problem. :P
Screature said
at 1:11 am on Jul 9, 2008
Can we upgrade the wiki space ourselves, or is that up to the "wiki-owner" JPteeto, who hasn't been seen/heard in months......
NightKev said
at 1:43 am on Jul 9, 2008
Anyone can upgrade the wikispace; it costs money though. :P
NightKev said
at 1:43 am on Jul 9, 2008
I'm not really sure how though; the link to do that isn't where it used to be.
Screature said
at 4:31 am on Jul 9, 2008
Right at bottom on the right of the front page, it says "public, silver wiki". Clicking that took me to the page where you pay for features. There was no option for upgrading to 5Gb, though I don't suppose it matters right now. I for one would be willing to pay a small amount to keep this wiki going and upgrade when needed.
bukkarooo said
at 8:56 am on Jul 9, 2008
We won't need it for a long while, we're only using about 5% of our total space. I just don't want to think about how long the file list takes to load when we're within a couple hundred megs of the limit *shudder* haha

bukkarooo said

I felt like that a while ago. I think it was around the time screech went to spain. Don't try and force it! Just when you don't really have anything to do, sit down and make it while listening to music. That's how Anzu came about :D And night, do you need it to have a moniter? You could transfer your normal moniter to the computer and set it all up, and then let the computer sit and do it's IRC hostin' thang and bring the moniter back to your normal computer haha

After getting back from my DC trip, it's hard to get back into the swing of things. I have plans for eight new ships and more, but I keep forgetting about Fraxy altogether. I also almost completely forgot about two message boards I frequent. I'll blame it on uh... airplane food... which there was none of. On the plus side, though, I did make a nifty Star Fox 64 background for those of you who haven't seen it.

Does anyone know how large the playing field is in Fraxy (the size of area around your ship in which bosses won't self destruct (if they get too far away they go boom))?
Peardian said
at 11:18 pm on Jul 16, 2008
I know it's slightly larger than the size of my Doomship boss, because if you fly away from it after it spawns, it selfdestructs. XD
Anonymous said

The distance seems to be about 2000 pixels. I'm still researching that to better define my bosses' behavior. Can anyone get a precise number while considering hitbox size?

Does anyone know how to make your ship's hitbox smaller? I'm talkin....1 or 2x2 pixels. I've become a fan of the Touhou Danmaku series and want to make some bullethell bosses, but the player's ship is still too big for dense patterns. In the same way that your bullet hits different shaped boss parts, would making the player ship sprite smaller also reduce it's hitbox?
bukkarooo said
at 10:35 am on Jul 19, 2008
it'd be work a shot, but good luck keeping good track of it. I'd just make a little white box in that case. On MS Paint, if you zoom in and turn on the grid, you can see where you could place the 4 white dots in the center
Screature said
at 12:04 pm on Jul 19, 2008
It would be helpful if I could make a new sprite, with the 2x2 hitbox as a white block, and a normal larger player ship around it, but shadowed and "invisible to enemy bullets". Similar to the Touhou games, where you have a small white orb as the hitbox, and the "unhittable" girl as the sprite. I don't wanna have to use a tiny sprite, keeping track of its position amongst hundreds of bullets would be a chore!
bukkarooo said
at 12:56 pm on Jul 19, 2008
Yeah, unfortunately that seems to be another of fraxy's limitations D:
bukkarooo said
at 1:48 pm on Jul 19, 2008
Forget what I said! Screech, take my WF ship sprite and open it in paint. in the middle of the shipd (the little cockpit area) put a white dot. It significantly shrinks the hitbox... I think haha I'm pretty sure it does
Nutman217 said
at 2:40 pm on Jul 19, 2008
I don't think it's possible. The hitbox is permanantly set to approximately 19x26. Fraxy doesn't read the image size, I believe it runs on invisible boxes and bits.
NightKev said
at 5:30 pm on Jul 19, 2008

New version of Fraxy coming out soon. Some features include: lives system for try files (now you are allowed to die more than once :P), possible resizing of parts in the editor (if I understand the "google-translated" homepage correctly), and there will be a new non-player weapon.
NightKev said
at 4:06 am on Jul 21, 2008
No the new enemy weapon isn't a shield (as CTR hoped it would be) though I think that's a very good idea (hint hint Fraxy developer[s]) because then I wouldn't have to build a shield out of like 100 parts that doesn't work quite how I want it to due to limitations and... yeah.

going by the best translation I can get, it appears that the new enemy weapon will be something like a bazooka or cannon. then again, system translations are a bit unreliable. SYSTRAN also says "So unnoticed in ripple..." which would also indicate that the enemy is getting the ripple shot. so we know that lives are added to TRY mode (at least), score modification from TRY mode is possible, the enemy editor is either getting tweaked or something is being added to the enemy definition files (something about window resizing... could be wrong), and at least one new enemy weapon is being added.

I just fired off an email to mon (the developer) that pretty much does three things:
A) letting him know of this community,
B) getting a couple of my requests in (specifically, changing common_03.bmp to a 24-bit image and allowing score accumulation from destroying enemy parts to be altered), and
C) letting him know I'm working on an english-language set of PDF files covering FRAXY (which will be made available from my site, when complete - and it will include in-depth documentation of TRY mode)
I would suggest against emailing him/her yourself, as right now this site should be on his metaphorical radar, so he should see most of what you guys are asking for.

@NightKev>>it's in one of the readme files. I did end up using the email about 3 seperate times (counting this time). the first one was pretty much saying how much I liked it and throwing a couple suggestions his way, the second one was when I found a bug with the "player status" option in the pause menu that prevented you from respawning in free mode, and the third one was today. He appears to be trying to learn some of the English language while he does the english translations. Obviously, if you can do better, he'd probably appreciate it. I'm not gonna give out his email explicitly (since some people would probably just spam it to no end), but it's there if you know where to look.

Finally! Have some inspiration! I have created a drone that orbits your ship incessantly, blocking your guns and bullets occasionally. Don't bother escaping, it speeds to catch up to you! And if you try to ring it, it flips around to get ya!
Downside is that it requires a healthy chunk of parts to make. Mastering the orbit technique without it going insane was hard.

already got a reply back from mon (didn't expect it within 24 hours), and here's the just of it: *inhale* He's already aware of this community and actually looks here "often ... to correct the bugs and ideas." (which means he's aware of some of our wish-list ideas and the bugs that we're finding), the 8-bit-depth image will have to stay 8-bit-depth due to performance issues with changing it to 24-bit-depth (understandable - I still get lag on FRAXY from time to time despite running Unreal Tournament 3 with few problems whatsoever), there's going to be a few things added to the enemy editor to allow us to take advantage of the points system in TRY mode, and he would actually like to see my manual completed (and I need to explain in further detail what a "text dump" is - PDF files can only be modified by Acrobat, and since I don't know if he has Acrobat, this is the best way I can get a Japanese translation of it).

Well, I was wondering if they could have a panel-aim player setting that allows it to track the player perfectly, like, iron-clad locking, cause i need that to build a certain boss, and stacking panel-aim players on setting 7 doesn't seem to do the trick well enough.
CrossTheRubicon said

What I do is set a looping Move Event for Move Set 5. That one has the highest tracking speed. Unfortunately, the speed can't be changed and stacking doesn't work well...

He'd be very welcome, and I'm sure he'd enjoy collaborating with a community that loves his game. the extra parameter stuff is pretty decent. with it, it's pretty damn easy to make an enemy that, by it's part setup alone, doesn't look hard until you actually fight it and realize that the power balls travel in a curved line and go twice as fast as normal. :P

Anonymous said
at 5:06 pm on Jul 23, 2008
more or less, there's four extra parameters for each part. most of the parts completely ignore them, but almost every projectile-based weapon (except homing lasers - they're different) uses a "rate of change" value, a "start speed" value, a "End Speed" value, and a "rotation" value. the homing lasers have values that are more relevant. Param1 is boolean, Param2 is the speed, Param3 is how responsive it is to you moving (AFTER it shoots), and Param4 is how quick it can move. the specifics on each parameter will be in my fraxy manual. if Param1 is 0 (or not set), everything else is ignored.

Hmmmm I've grown attached to this wiki. It's my homepage....and my home hehe. Creating a new one would kinda split the community. Some traffic here and some traffic at the new wiki. Suppose if you make it clear on the front page here that there is a new wiki, make sure everyone is fully aware. It would take time for people to switch over and populate the new wiki/forum, though I like the forum integration idea. I'm swayed both ways on this, though I could be more tempted if I had your permission to moderate the site? :-)

shoot, just had an idea- as good as a Wiki is for all of this, I'm finding it hard to keep up with conversations through this basic comment system. Maybe a full-out forum would be better for this kind of thing? It wouldn't be too hard to integrate, I suppose. The forum I usually hang around has a wiki, but everything happens on the forum, with links to related files and such. -just a thought-

Quick thing about the uploader on the new wiki. I uploaded up to the 5th boss (Kohns) in the PAIs, but I had to upload each twice before it appeared... hopefully that doesn't mess anything up... There should be a way to re-organize the bosses and change their description. Just a thought

(This will be echoed on the new wiki) The new patch adds a way to remove untimed EXMESSAGES and changes the functionality of EXMESSAGES with regards to system-maintained variables. since Mon took down the previous patch, the Edit.exe from that one is included as well. (and I personally wonder why I didn't point out the EXMESSAGE thingy when I last emailed him <.<)

Well bukky, to keep up with the help we've provided here, I suggest we learn the inside-outs of the new wiki. We need to know how to edit everything fully, and help new users there as we have here.
Screature said
at 5:59 pm on Jul 29, 2008
NightKev or Arbe, you seriously need a word with some dude called Stag. Just coz there was a disagreement on the IRC, he jumped on his highhorse and blocked everyone from the forum, with the words "This is why we can't have nice things. start behaving and maybe you can" on a white background. I can't access the forum, and he's tellin me to peer pressure everyone into "behaving" so I can get access back. I'm not one to lose my temper, but jeez guys he pissed me off!

Screature said

Don't get us wrong NightKev/Arbe. We'll still take our rolls in the new wiki seriously, but being spoken to like that by some arrogant stranger for doing nothing wrong, in an IRC you set up and run, and having access to our forum restricted because some other dude's can't keep calm? We have a new ToTM to announce here, and a previous theme to judge. So are you helping us here with the users that haven't yet moved over? Coz they're still here

Hmm, I'm not sure how to take this news of a new wiki. I BARELY know how to edit this one without deleting everything (which I have done before), and now I have to learn how to do it all over, on a more difficult system by the sounds of it? I like to keep these kinds of thing simple and sweet. JPTeeto was kind enough to create a wiki for us, and I like to use it. Sadly, we haven't heard from his greatness in some time, though I still believe he will return. I'm also put off by the comments of Screature and bukk about this Stag fellow. I'm not one to suffer a community of power-crazy fools (not meaning Screature and bukk, of course). I will have to see where this new wiki goes before I make plans of moving. Until then I'm not going to worry much about it and I will just focus on my requests.
/end rant

ok, atomic. Me and screech aren't liking some of the people there or the new, more complex editor. Since we're mods at the new one, we'll still be kinda active there. But we are more focusing on keeping this wiki going.
Also, lol at how you made JPteeto sound like a god/deity. Seeing as I made that comparison a while ago.
CrossTheRubicon said

The ultimate goal of us will be to make sure both are managed and that there is peaceful negotiations between everyone. This should not be seen as or become a coup. If that were to occur, then everything that has been done up to this point would be useless and we'll end up with 2 rival groups. Not what we need...
Anonymous said

That leads me to another question, CTR. Is this to be a move from this wiki to the new one in favor of security and whatnot, or are both wikis going to be mainained? If it is the latter, it seems like a waste to me. And I hope this move isn't being made for any kind of power reason, because that would just infuriate me to the highest degree.
And yes, I still see our forerunners (JP, DG, TF7, DB, etc etc) as the best. I like the new crowd, of course, but I know I wouldn't have anything to post on this wiki if it wasn't for them. I'm always hoping they return ('cept DarkBahamut of course, he's still kickin' around =P).
Peardian said

bukkarooo said
at 10:43 pm on Jul 29, 2008
the main reason for the new wiki is because anyone with power here (ability to ban, just in case) aren't here. I agree 100% with atomic
CrossTheRubicon said
at 11:32 pm on Jul 29, 2008
The plan appears to be a gradual move to the other Compendium. As of now, the other one will be a backup in case something happens here. Since we do not have the power to restore things, there is nothing we can do except twiddle our thumbs until it is restored. Eventually, probably around Fall, then the Redux will become the official one and this one will be the backup. The adjustment will be both sides since no one knows each other and the place isn't all Fraxy stuff and we're kinda merging in.
CrossTheRubicon said
at 11:37 pm on Jul 29, 2008
I guess to answer your questions, this site will be maintained but on a gradual lowering basis until everything is set in place. To answer your concern with a power struggle/coup, I and others will make ABSOLUTELY sure that doesn't happen. Everyone's question is where is JPteeto? He's obviously needed for this in order for there to be a fully mutual process...
Screature said
at 1:09 am on Jul 30, 2008
To be honest there is no power struggle/coup. I know NightKev and Arbe (and myself and Bukkarooo), are not the sort to abuse authority. It was that little tit in the IRC that thought it his position to block access to the entire forum 'because he could'. The forum is meant to be more secure. If thats the case, make a new one?
Screature said
at 1:19 am on Jul 30, 2008
There will eventually be a complete move. I'm forwarding myself and bukky as workhorses for anyone unsure of how to edit the new pages. I'll give advice on how to set up and edit everything. Of course, before I can do that, you have to register which takes 2 mins at most.
Screature said

Is anyone in agreement that we need a final date for the complete transition? I mean one set date, where after that, this wiki will be completely dropped and unmaintained, with all new Fraxyers pointed to the new wiki? I'm thinking a final date of 1st Jan 2009. Gives everyone 5 months to shift to the new wiki, which is more than enough.
bukkarooo said
at 8:19 am on Jul 30, 2008
January 1 sounds good. As screech said, me and him are ready and willing to help anyone who's confused with the new editor. Though one person at the new wiki (Kironide) was willing to make tutorial pages and stuff to help the people get started.

Looks like I missed a load of unpleasant-ish conversation while my connection was dead. I think I have a solution. We use the old Compendium as a data storage and use the New Compendium as the showcase. The data in the old Compendium should be safe because its delete protected.
NightKev said

stag will be taken care of, don't worry about him. If he blocks access to the forums again, he loses ftp privileges completely. | We have an uploader at the new wiki and it's be designed to be very user-friendly and easy to use/browse/etc. There's still a couple of features to add (such as browsing files by user) but overall it's complete. It's separated into categories already (bosses/trys/etc). The pbwiki will eventually just be sort of a backup/archive/pit of nostalgia.

LITTLE ANNOUNCEMENT. Ok, I'm sure there are many people who are unsure and holding back from taking that first step into the new wiki. I am willing to register/create new accounts for anyone who asks. I will create the account with the username you use here, and will set up your userpage/bosspage for you. Then all you'll have to do is log in using your username (and the password I give you, which can be changed by yourself at any time), and upload your bosses in your own time. I'll even upload one or two of your bosses to get you started, and so you can see how it's done and how it looks. If anyone at all would like me to do that for them, please feel free to comment here and I'll get right on it! If you'd prefer, please email me using the address on the frontpage above (I'll need your email address to register the account anyway, and to send you your password)

Well, it looks like we got another update, and some interesting new parts! For starters, a new part called Barrier (and Barrier 2) creates a circular ring through which bullets cannot pass through. You can specify size and arc length using the extra parameters. Also, a new gravity piece allows for infinite gravity fields and some extra move settings were added to the Aim Player panel. Oh, and the Head Core now has movement.

Hello everyone. As you can probably guess, this moving process is not going as smoothly as we expected. Some of you are probably confused or you really don't care. In these transitions we most likely lost a number of members. However, we are doing the best we can under such circumstances. As such, I put up a tally so I can see how many active members still exist. I would really appreciate it if you can fill it out. I'm not asking you to join anything, I just want a number. Thanks!
